What to Expect in an Acupuncture Treatment
During your first appointment with a practitioner you will discuss your symptoms, Lifestyle, Diet, previous medical history and that of your family. The practitioner uses this information and also observes the tongue and takes 12 Pulses on both wrists to ascertain which organs need treatment.
Hand Morphology and Palpation of the spine and blood pressure is included in the initial consultation. Very fine sterile, disposable needles will be inserted into acupuncture points.
The process is carried out gently and carefully, ensuring the person is comfortable. You are left for a period of time with the needles in place. Patients experience a sense of calmness and relaxation.
